Schizophrenic Nunavut Weather

I'm sunny, no wait I am a blizzard, no wait I am a beautiful clear day, no wait I am angry 100km/hr winds!

When I was little I used to lay awake in fear thinking about how maybe my house could burn down or how maybe a tornado could strike. Last night I lay awake in bed unable to sleep because the roof was creaking so loudly I feared the roof might blow clear off. I thought to myself about how just that morning it was a beautiful blue sky with warm sunshine and then it all changed in a matter of hours. How schizophrenic of the weather to be so.

Haha! Oh Tallinn, sticking your tongue out at Jen.

The weather has been a little strange here too ... it's been beautiful during the day, but at night, it just gets all "foggy / grungy" out .. so much for getting a good night pic this weekend! But, at least I don't have the 100 km/h winds ... but I do have a washing machine that makes the house vibrate lol.

I'm not really sure if the weather has been all that colder here since I can only compare this spring with 2 previous ones but people from town have mentioned it is a tad colder than it usually is for this time of year. We experience our schizo weather conditions here everytime we leave Arctic Bay (usually blue skies and little wind) and (ad)venture out to the airport at Nanisivik with its fierce winds and thick cloud. Crazy weather indeed.

I know! Last night at the haunted housesit the wind was just tearing around the house and the walls were creaking and the drafts were getting in and banging the doors. I couldn't sleep forever!

The bottom photo is hilarious.
